La mia scelta personale: Inside Out 2, senza dubbio! La Disney mi ha resa fedele a questo franchise dal momento in cui Gioia e Tristezza si sono alleate nel primo film, e questo sequel non delude. Confesso: sono così ossessionata che ho iniziato a guardarlo in diverse lingue—un po’ per allenare la mia mente da poliglotta, ma soprattutto perché è esilarante sentire Rabbia inveire in francese. (Spoiler: è très intenso.)

E possiamo parlare del cast stellare di doppiatori che la Disney ha messo insieme? Un vero colpo da maestro. È come se avessero pescato dal vault del dream team per assicurarsi che ogni emozione fosse perfetta. Non voglio spoilerare troppo, ma sappiate che Inside Out 2 è pura magia Pixar, approvata dai poliglotti!

La mia scelta personale: Come fan sfegatata di crime e thriller, il mio cuore va a The Day of the Jackal su Sky Atlantic. La tensione, la trama intricata e i colpi di scena che mi hanno lasciata a bocca aperta: è tutto ciò che amo in una serie.

E possiamo applaudire la fedeltà della Gran Bretagna alla BBC quest’anno? Tuttavia, The Day of the Jackal è stato il mio capolavoro. Chi non ama un brillante gioco del gatto col topo? Bravo, 2024—ci hai tenuti con il fiato sospeso!

La mia scelta personale: Affrontiamo l’elefante nella stanza: la Swiftie che è in me sta soffrendo perché Taylor non è entrata nella Top 10 quest’anno. Niente momenti Midnights? Nessun nuovo All Too Well da cantare in pubblico tra le lacrime? Tragico.

Ma hey, se il 2024 mi ha insegnato qualcosa, è che Sabrina Carpenter sa come tirarmi su. Espresso e Please Please Please sono state la colonna sonora dei miei viaggi in metro, tanto che i pendolari accanto a me probabilmente pensano che stia provando per il prossimo Pop Idol. Orecchiabili, intense e impossibili da togliere dalla testa—Sabrina ha dominato quest’anno, e non sono nemmeno arrabbiata.

La mia scelta personale: Come appassionata di thriller, scelgo senza esitazione A Shop for Killers. L’ho divorato non una, ma due volte—perché una sola non bastava per assaporare tutta quella suspense. Disney+, per questo, ti meriti il mio abbonamento premium a vita.

E possiamo parlare della performance di Lee Dong Wook? Assolutamente fenomenale. In un momento è misterioso e inquietante, e l’attimo dopo fai il tifo per lui come se la tua vita dipendesse da questo. Se Disney+ voleva conquistare i fan dei thriller, missione compiuta.

Addio, 2024…

Ed ecco qui: il meglio del 2024, confezionato con un bel fiocco! Dagli show pieni di suspense ai successi musicali che ci hanno fatto ballare e piangere, quest’anno ha davvero dato il massimo.

Ma non rilassatevi troppo: il 2025 è dietro l’angolo, e si preannuncia selvaggio. La vostra curiosa corrispondente d’intrattenimento (cioè io!) ha delle sorprese in serbo, e fidatevi, non vorrete perdervele.

My personal pick My personal pick? Inside Out 2, hands down! Disney had me loyal to this franchise from the moment Joy and Sadness teamed up in the original, and this sequel didn’t disappoint. Honestly, I’ve been so obsessed I started watching it in different languages—partly to practice my polyglot brain, but mostly because it’s hilarious hearing Anger rant in French. (Spoiler: it’s très intense.)

And can we talk about the stellar cast of voice actors Disney lined up for this? Absolute chef’s kiss. It’s like they dipped into the dream team vault to make sure every emotion was pitch-perfect. I’d name them all, but I don’t want to spoil the surprises—just know that Inside Out 2 delivers on every level, no matter what language you’re watching it in. Polyglot-approved and pure Pixar magic!!

My personal pick:  Alright, let’s talk personal—because 2024 didn’t just deliver, it spoiled us! As a die-hard crime and thriller fan, my heart belongs to The Day of the Jackal on Sky Atlantic. The gripping tension, the intricate plotting, and the kind of twists that had me gasping—it’s everything I love in a show.

But can we take a moment to appreciate how Britain stayed fiercely loyal to the BBC this year?  Still, The Day of the Jackal was my standout. Who doesn’t love a brilliantly crafted game of cat-and-mouse? Bravo, 2024—you’ve kept us on our toes!

My personal pick: Alright, let’s address the (slightly sparkly, slightly tear-streaked) elephant in the room: the Swiftie in me might be sulking because Taylor didn’t crack the Top 10 this year. No Midnights moment? No new All Too Well to cry-sing in public? Tragic.

But hey, if I’ve learned anything from 2024, it’s that Sabrina Carpenter knows how to cheer me up. I’ve been humming Espresso and Please Please Please so much on the Underground that I’m pretty sure my fellow commuters think I’m auditioning for the next Pop Idol. Catchy, soulful, and impossible to get out of my head—Sabrina totally owned this year, and I’m not even mad about it.

So, while Tay’s absence stings, at least Sabrina gave me something to bop to while waiting for the Central line. Bravo, 2024—you’re bittersweet, but you’re still boppable!

My Personal pick:  As a self-proclaimed thriller addict, my personal pick has to be A Shop for Killers. I binged it not once, but twice—because let’s be honest, once just wasn’t enough to soak in all that suspenseful goodness. Disney+ officially earned a permanent spot on my premium subscription list for this one (take my money, Mickey).

And can we talk about Lee Dong Wook’s performance? Absolutely phenomenal. The man brought layers to his character that I didn’t even know existed. One moment he’s chillingly mysterious, and the next, you’re rooting for him like your life depends on it. If Disney+ was trying to win over thriller fans, mission accomplished.

So yeah, A Shop for Killers—gripping, stylish, and proof that Lee Dong Wook can do no wrong. Highly recommend adding it to your “binge immediately” list! Hey Mickey, where’s my Season 2?
